Not a super coverage. About reviewer 11 reviews. Another great foundation from MAC in my opinion. As a makeup junkie and a foundation hoarder LOL I am always on the hunt for the next foundation to try. Shade 2.

About reviewer 75 reviews. Well I will admit i would never consider trying any MAC face product again because ive tried a concealer and hated it. I wasn't that into the brand to begin with. Anyway, i was actually given a bottle of this foundation in shade 4. Great, a free full size foundation, i was thankful! So i went on to try it later.

MAC foundations explained – Reviews
I did a makeup look in my aunt a few days ago she is about 50 years and she looked 10 years younger with it, but still natural! About reviewer 3 reviews. The texture was very smooth and since I have a dry to normal skin it worked perfectly well for me. When I enquired the same for one of my friends who have got an oily skin MUA told me that it works good with oily skin for the powder is much dry and is capable of absorbing oil effectively. I was pleased with the purchase of MAC Studio Fix Compact but for some reason I still wanted a foundation which does the job of base application alone.
But for some reason I totally feel complete only when I use it along with the foundation. It perfectly does the job of a foundation but considering that efficiency achieved when it is used after using a liquid foundation impresses me a lot. One is for the mirror, the second is for the product and the third is for a sponge case. I have been using this product for three months and it took two months for me to discover that there is a sponge case hidden beneath the product!
I was in fact surprised and shocked at the same time. However I have separate brushes for powder application and I hardly used the sponge which came with the product. Not that it is bad but to me powder application is at its best when used with brushes.
Coverage — The powder is too soft to touch and you will definitely be astonished seeing how fine the texture is once you apply it on your face. What I loved about the product is that it absorbs into the pores quickly and gives nothing except full-matte finish. As I had mentioned earlier, my experience post the usage of Studio Fix compact along with Match Master has assisted perfectly well on my face to obtain a full-matte-coverage the whole day hours. When I have to go out for any unplanned meet-ups I simply use a moisturizer, primer and the Powder Plus Foundation.
Trust Me! To people outside it totally looks like I have incorporated my complete morning-make-up routine on my face starting from cleanser to loose powder. Generally the reason I strongly believe in using a liquid foundation before compact is that it blends in completely and keeps the powder application intact for hours.
They're all good, but one might be better for you than another. There are just so many different variants when it comes to choosing a foundation: colour, texture, tone, finish - and the rest. Finding the perfect colour is hard enough, let alone finding the right texture for your skin type.
The one thing I've realised about people is that often they are wearing the wrong texture foundation and not making the best out of their skin. Let's kick this off with the most famous and most bought.

Fix is a medium to full coverage foundation and is buildable. It's a matte finish so it great for oily skin. Thick formula, so lasts up to eight hours. SPF Medium to full coverage, gel-based formula, build-able.
It's a satin finish, better for a dry or mature skin. However, I feel this foundation is a bit misunderstood. When you heat it up in your hands it turns into a cream. Use your finger tips to pat it into your skin, less is more.
MAC Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15 Swatch and Review
The finish is really lovely when it's applied correctly. Sometimes, I like to use it on the high planes of my face, like nose, forehead, chin, and cheek bones, over my regular foundation to give the skin a nicer finish. This is a light to medium coverage foundation with a light reflecting satin finish. Best on dry skin, this foundation has almost a shimmer effect, and for people like me with open pores and fine lines, it's not the best.
This foundation just highlights imperfections. If you have perfect, young flawless skin and you just need a subtle glow, this is the one for you.
